Wheels with polyurethane lining
Polarttech can cover wheels and rollers with polyurethane. Polyurethane (PU) is an excellent protective layer for various materials.
Wheels are often used in mechanical engineering, offshore and internal transportation.
Roller and wheel covering
We cover wheels by casting the polyurethane onto the product. This creates an end result with a greater wall thickness.
Wheels can be post processed with techniques such as grinding and turning (wheels with diameters up to 1200 mm). This allows us to achieve the correct size, shape or profile. At your request, we can offer wheels including cast-iron, steel or stainless steel cores or rims.
Composition of the polyurethane lining
The composition of the polyurethane lining depends on the application of the wheel. Sometimes a high wear resistance is required. Other times a good cut resistance or tear resistance is required. While in yet another application the internal heat build-up is decisive. Our specialists are happy to advise you on the right choice of material.
